Lectors
These generous men and women proclaim the good news of the Scripture to our parish community during daily masses and Sunday masses as well. The Lectors are an important part of spreading the Gospel to one and all.
EMHCs
The Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion (Often called EMHCs), minister to the people of our parish by distributing the Body & Blood of Christ during Mass, and by taking Holy Communion to the ill and home bound. EMHCs attend a training program and are commissioned at a special ceremony conducted by Archbishop George Lucas. These ministers are truly "Extraordinary" in their service to the Parish. Their ministry brings our Savior to us in a very personal way.
Choir
St. Gerald liturgical singers and musicians provide music for liturgical celebrations each weekend. For more information about our choir including an invitation to join us, visit the St. Gerald Choir page.
Altar Servers
Many fine young people in our parish are altar servers. This special ministry is open to boys and girls in the fourth grade and older. If you wish to assist in the celebration of the mass, volunteer to be an Altar Server.
Ushers and Greeters
These warm, friendly parishioners welcome you and help provide a smooth environment for the worship services. If you are interested in becoming an usher or greeter, please contact the parish office.
Parking Lot Patrol
These important ministers donate their time to patrol the parking lot and make sure there are no automobile break-ins or other suspicious activities going on during our mass times.
Signing for the Hearing Impaired
Signers for the Hearing Impaired provide an important service for our Parish. This manual form of communication adds a wonderful dimension to our worship service. We are moved by the graceful motions of the hands of those who sign as the Word of God is presented to us in these two forms. Signing is generally done during the 10:00am mass on Sunday at 96th & Q.
