What is H.O.P.E?
- The H.O.P.E program was established in May, 1992 as a way of supplementing income for St. Gerald's Parish and Educational programs including 5 Day School, CCD, Youth Ministry, Adult Education, and the Parish Library.
- The H.O.P.E. program is designed to allow individuals to support the parish by using selected vendor certificates for everyday purchases.
How does H.O.P.E work?
- The parish purchases volume quantities of gift certificates for various local vendors at a discount.
- The parish sells the certificates at the dollar face value of the certificate.
- The parish earns the profit from the discount received from the vendor.
How are the profits used?
- Profits are distributed to the Parish Council to assist with the general operating costs of the 5 Day School, Religious Education (CCD & Sunday School), Youth Ministry, and Adult Education programs as well as the Parish Library.
- Annual allotments are also made available to fund special projects or purchases for the above listed programs.
- Profits are made available to qualifying families to offset tuition fees for 5 Day School and Religious Education programs.
- Minimum of $500 per quarter must be purchased
- $500-$2000/quarter = 1% tuition discount (paid directly to Parish Business Office)
- $2000 & up/quarter = 2% tuition discount (paid directly to Parish Business Office)
- Relatives & friends can apply credit to tuition accounts through their purchases
How do I participate?
- H.O.P.E. certificates are sold in the H.O.P.E. office after all weekend masses (96th & Q).
- H.O.P.E. certificates may be purchased at the Parish Business office Monday-Friday 7:30 - 4:00.
