Extraordinary Ministers
of Holy Communion
The Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy
Communion (Often called EMHCs), minister to the people of our parish by
distributing the Body & Blood of Christ during Mass, and by taking Holy Communion to
the ill and home bound. EMHCs attend a training program and are commissioned at
a special ceremony conducted by Archbishop Curtis. These ministers are truly
"Extraordinary" in their service to the Parish. Their
ministry brings our Savior to us in a very personal way.
Gather Your People, O Lord
Draw us forth to the table of Life; brothers and sisters
Each of us called to walk in your Light.
We are parts of the body of Christ, needing each other,
Each of the gifts the Spirit provides.
