    Summer Camp Season
The Elden F. Curtiss Youth Camp & Retreat Center, located on 100 acres of forest along the Elkhorn river near 245th & Q St, will host Summer camps for youth who have completed 5th-12th grades. Canoeing, Low Obstacle Course, Hiking, Archery, Swimming & other activities are woven together with Prayer, Faith Sharing & Catechesis in a fun and exciting environment. Summer Faith & Fun Events!

Attention all Junior High and High School students and their families: The Festival of the Body and Blood of Christ: May 31. Join us at the Elden F. Curtiss Youth Camp and Retreat Center, 5455 South 245th Street for a day to celebrate the gift of the Eucharist and the call of  young people to grow in love and service of our Lord. Mass begins at Noon, followed by lunch (grilled burgers and hot dogs) and a talk by Fr. Jeff Lorig, from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. After lunch, all will be invited to process and pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. The band Overflow will also perform a brief concert. Summer Job Opportunity


The Elden F. Curtiss Youth Camp and Retreat Center near Elkhorn, Nebraska is seeking fun, energetic and faith-filled people to serve as camp counselors, kitchen staff and waterfront personnel for the 2008 Camp Season.
Applicants must be 19 and out of high school one year, and must be available for overnight training June 1-5 and for 5 overnight camp sessions from June 29-August 2nd. Lifeguard Training and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred, though not mandatory. Contact Tom Murray at 402-332-3384 or tpmurray@archomaha.org for more information or an application.

  Camp Possible
The Elden F. Curtiss Retreat and Conference center is also sponsoring a Camp for Children with Disabilities on
Friday, June 13th, 2008. "Camp Possible" is a one day camp for children with disabilities who are currently in grades 4-8th. The day camp will include crafts, swimming, roasting marshmallows, dance/yoga and Mass. The staff of the camp will be trained professionals who are accustomed to working with children with disabilities. An optional spiritual support program will also be offered to parents during the camp day.
The camp is located at 245th & Q St. Registration is $20 and the camp is limited to 20 children. See website in article above.

Youth and Young Adult Volunteer Opportunity
At the Munroe Meyer Institute
Recreational Therapy Camp

Volunteers between the ages 12 & 24 are needed to interact with children and youth with developmental disabilities. Volunteers assist with a variety of activities including art, music, swimming, cooking, sports, games, and community outings.
New volunteers are required to complete a training session.
Training:  June 7th & 11th
Camp Dates:  There will be 6 sessions available from June 16- Aug. 1. Please call Nicole at 559-3018 to apply. The Camp is held on the UNMC campus.
